<dc:description>Persistent identifiers are definitely crucial for a metadata-driven approach to repository design. ORCID disambiguates researchers and contributors, and connects them with their research activities. This includes employment affiliations, research outputs, funding, peer review activities, research resources, society membership, distinctions and other scholarly infrastructure. Repository systems integrations with ORCID add visibility to repository content and their authors, facilitate collaboration and networking, and help organizations with institutional reporting systems and national assessment programs.

The aim of this interactive workshop is to present not only benefits, but also challenges and difficulties on the integration of ORCID within institutional repositories. The recording includes short presentations about the essentials of ORCID integrations, supplemented/illustrated by some examples.</dc:description>
