    <description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;p&gt;“Basal” is the first tagged release of our Matlab vocoder implementation. The code is designed to be versatile and easy to configure, offering many possibilities. It has now been used in quite a few studies and we feel that its basic features are mature enough.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;However note that more advanced aspects like the Bingabr filters or the ACE simulation have not been used for production yet, so might not be considered as properly validated yet.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Do not forget to read the documentation ( file before using the vocoder, and keep in mind that vocoders are not magical beasts but fine tuned signal processing tools. In short, know what you are doing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;vocoder&lt;/strong&gt; is licensed under the GNU GPLv3.0.&lt;/p&gt;
