    <description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;p&gt;This Dataset has been created to be able to share all images, data, 3D reconstructions and codes related to the study of microstructural composition of brain white matter, with particular attention being placed on the cytoarchitecture of axonal fibres of ovine brains. The dataset is the source used for studies included in scientific publications that constitute some of the main outputs of the EDEN2020 project.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The three folders contain the database and the codes created throughout this research.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Each folder can be used independently as each output of each phase is ready to be used.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;01_FIBSEM_images&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Contains:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-compressed folders with the FIB-SEM images acquired, ready to be imported into MIMICS.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;02_MIMICS_files&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Contains:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-the MIMICS files with the segmented and 3D reconstructed volumes per each area, per each subject,&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;ready to be visualised in MIMICS.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-the centerline measurements in txt files of the segmented and reconstructed axons,&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;ready to be postprocessed and analysed.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;03_scripts&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Contains:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-the MATLAB data created from importing the centerline measurements in the txt files output from MIMICS,&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;ready to be used in MATLAB&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;-the MATLAB scripts used to post-process the centerline measurements and recreate 3D volumes.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
