This compiled data set includes the following mineralogical, geochemical and clay analyses performed at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland:
- Leaching characteristics (eluate tests) in mg/L
- Anion analyses in mg/L
- Effective cation exchange capacity in meq/100g
- Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy in percentage (transmission) and cm^-1 (wavenumber) as separate files per sample, labelled as "FTIR_sampleID_weight" 
- X-Ray diffraction in weight-percentage
- Nitrogen-adsorption for BET surface in m^2/g
- Enslin-Neff free water uptake capacity in percentage
- Specific (inner crystalline) surface (water vapour adsorption) in percentage
- Carbon content determination in g/g

The data contained herein is based on research pursued for the doctoral thesis of Dipl.-Ing Maximilian Haas, which remains to be completed and defended, in the framework of the CERN Doctoral Student Programme. Participants of the Mining the Future Competition (the “Competition”) are permitted to use the data contained herein solely for the purpose of developing their application for the Competition.
