This EOSC supported activity looked into the challenge of informing and educating the public in times of pandemic. As a solution, the team developed a chatbot, which gave users advice on various COVID19-related topics, including practical instructions on how to wear a mask and wash hands properly. It also focused on giving information on social distancing measures and everyday life restrictions applied in different member states. As an outcome, the report also lists a 6-step framework of how the EU and national governments could effectively and scalably communicate using chatbots to combat the next pandemic in the future.
