EOSC aims at making research data in Europe accessible to all researchers under the same terms of use and distribution, encouraging a culture of open research data and FAIR principles. It is the result of a long quest for innovation and collaboration started many years ago.
This report maps the point of view and ongoing practices of EOSC-relevant stakeholders in 35 countries, analysing their familiarity with EOSC and Open Science principles. It gathers also information on the services they provide, on user communities and on policies in place.
The analysis presented here integrates results of several surveys and data gathering activities carried out by four EU-funded regional projects: EOSC-Pillar, NI4OS-Europe, EOSC-Nordic and EOSC-Synergy. Representatives of 30 countries have been reached through online surveys, while five additional countries have been analysed through desk research and secondary data analysis. Information was collected and elaborated in different moments between September 2019 and June 2020.
