Figure 5. Sample averages of larval body masses at 7-day intervals of female (red) and male (blue) larval samples of Mecynorhina polyphemus. Samples were divided into separate growth curves for instars I (A, D), II (B, E), and III (C, F). A thick solid line indicates a von Bertalanffy regression line, and a thin, broken line indicates a polynomial regression line. Regression equations of von Bertalanffy growth models and polynomial regression models are given in each figure.
