Multi-Vector Simulator

The Multi-Vector Simulator (MVS) is a simulation and optimization tool for multi-vector energy systems. This beta-version allows the end-user to create a multi-vector energy system composed of energy consumption, conversion, production and storage as well as energy provider assets and perform a long-term investment and dispatch optimization determining the optimal system capacities and dispatch. A high number of key performance indicators is calculated. A novel approach to calculate system-wide key performance indicators for sector-coupled energy systems is applied with energy carrier weighting. The simulation model is based on the Open Energy Modelling Framework (oemof). It is an open-source tool available github, with a documentation provided on readthedocs.
