The presence of Buddhist worship centres in Spain is recent, the first were established from 1977. But in the later years it has emerged a remarkable new Spanish Buddhist artistic heritage with two ways of expression. In some cases it has been chosen to import Asian constructive and artistic models and the aesthetic impact with respect to Spanish artistic heritage is remarkable. In other cases are combined Oriental elements with local or modern elements, producing an interesting hybridization. In order to exemplify that hybridization in this paper are reviewed six retreat centres of Vajrayana Buddhism in Spain (Dag Shang Kagyu, O Sel Ling, Karma Guen, Sakya Tashi Ling, Sakya Foundation and Kadampa Hotel).
