Yeast genetic interactions have been mapped on a global scale, but the environmental influence on the plasticity of genetic networks has not been examined systematically. To assess environmental rewiring of genetic networks, we examined 14 diverse conditions and scored 30,000 functionally representative yeast gene pairs for dynamic, differential interactions. Different conditions revealed novel differential interactions, which often uncovered new functional connections between distantly related gene pairs. However, the majority of observed genetic interactions remained unchanged in different conditions, suggesting that the global yeast genetic interaction network is robust to environmental perturbation and captures the fundamental functional architecture of a eukaryotic cell.</dc:description> <dc:description>Funding provided by: National Science FoundationCrossref Funder Registry ID: http://dx.doi.org/10.13039/100000001Award Number: DBI\0953881Funding provided by: National Institutes of HealthCrossref Funder Registry ID: http://dx.doi.org/10.13039/100000002Award Number: R01HG005853Funding provided by: National Institutes of HealthCrossref Funder Registry ID: http://dx.doi.org/10.13039/100000002Award Number: R01HG005084Funding provided by: Canadian Institutes of Health ResearchCrossref Funder Registry ID: http://dx.doi.org/10.13039/501100000024Award Number: FDN-143264Funding provided by: Canadian Institutes of Health ResearchCrossref Funder Registry ID: http://dx.doi.org/10.13039/501100000024Award Number: FDN-143265</dc:description> <dc:identifier>https://zenodo.org/record/4560674</dc:identifier> <dc:identifier>10.5061/dryad.3r2280gfd</dc:identifier> <dc:identifier>oai:zenodo.org:4560674</dc:identifier> <dc:relation>url:https://zenodo.org/communities/dryad</dc:relation> <dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights> <dc:rights>https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/legalcode</dc:rights> <dc:title>Environmental robustness of the global yeast genetic interaction network</dc:title> <dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/other</dc:type> <dc:type>dataset</dc:type> </oai_dc:dc>
