    <dct:description>&lt;p&gt;A checklist is presented with 359 species of coastal marine Testaceous Gastropods collected in the area between the towns of Cullera and Denia (Gulf of Valencia, East of the Iberian Peninsula). A separate appendix is included with bathyal species (49 species) and pelagic species (18 species), obtained from sediments collected by trawlers working on the Gulf of Valencia. The species &lt;em&gt;Cerithiopsis annae&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Cerithiopsis ladae&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Cima apicisbelli&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Volvarina mitrella&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Mangelia sandrii&lt;/em&gt;,&lt;em&gt;Mangelia brusinae&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Chrysallida multicostata&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Calliostracon tyrrhenicum &lt;/em&gt;and &lt;em&gt;Tjaernoeia boucheti &lt;/em&gt;are reported for the first time on the Iberian peninsular coast. The species &lt;em&gt;Nassarius vaucheri&lt;/em&gt;, characteristic of northern Africa and the Straits of Gibraltar, is recorded for the first time in this area. The possible existence of new species distinguished respectively from &lt;em&gt;Caecum trachea &lt;/em&gt;(Montagu, 1803) and &lt;em&gt;Eulimella acicula &lt;/em&gt;(Philippi, 1836), is discussed. The species &lt;em&gt;Ondina modiola &lt;/em&gt;(Monterosato, 1884) is considered as valid&lt;/p&gt;</dct:description>
