    <description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;p&gt;El objetivo de este trabajo es describir las principales caracter&amp;iacute;sticas de la secuencia de ocupaci&amp;oacute;n del sitio arqueol&amp;oacute;gico Pashimbi, una de las m&amp;aacute;s completas documentadas en la Alta Amazon&amp;iacute;a ecuatoriana. Las fechas radiocarb&amp;oacute;nicas, los an&amp;aacute;lisis geoqu&amp;iacute;micos y la correlaci&amp;oacute;n material cultural por estratos permitieron realizar una lectura integral de la informaci&amp;oacute;n, determinando siete momentos de actividad humana en cuatro milenios: Colonial (183 AP), Tena (602-309 AP), Cosanga II (860 AP), Moravia (1380-1222 AP), Cosanga I (1464-1380 AP), Pambay (3110-1888 AP) y Pashimbi (4025-3450 AP). Finalmente, se realiz&amp;oacute; una primera aproximaci&amp;oacute;n a las formas de subsistencia de los grupos que habitaron este territorio. ENGLISH: &lt;em&gt; An Absolute Chronology for the Diachronic Analysis of the Occupational Sequence of the Pashimbi Archaeological Site, Ecuadorian Upper Amazon&lt;/em&gt;. The objective of this paper is to describe the main characteristics of the occupational sequence of the Pashimbi archaeological site, one of the most complete documented sites in the Ecuadorian Upper Amazon. Radiocarbon dates, geochemical analyses, and cultural material correlation by strata allowed for a comprehensive reading of the data, determining seven times of human activity in four millennia: Colonial (183 BP), Tena (602&amp;ndash;309 BP), Cosanga II (860 BP), Moravia (1380&amp;ndash;1222 BP), Cosanga I (1464&amp;ndash;1380 BP), Pambay (3110&amp;ndash;1888 BP), and Pashimbi (4025&amp;ndash;3450 BP). Finally, a first approximation to the subsistence forms of the groups that inhabited this territory was made.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
