This document describes the guidelines and protocols for medical data deposition for the Euro-BioImaging medical imaging archive and is referred to as Deliverable 3.4 titled: “Guidelines and protocol for data deposition”.
The Euro-BioImaging Medical imaging data deposition goes through 3 phases: Preparation, Execution and Completion. In the Preparation phase a data collection request is submitted at the support portal, users and access is provisioned and de-identification protocols are defined. In the Execution phase the data is uploaded, and the data organisation is managed. The dataset is curated and ready for interaction in the Completion phase.
The data is securely stored and transported to and from the Euro-BioImaging medical imaging Archive. Software and standard operating procedures have been defined and implemented to protect the privacy of the patient and ensure security of the data.
