The purpose of the Research Data Alliance (RDA) Persistent Identifier Interest Group (PID IG) is to synchronize identifier-related efforts, address important and emerging PID-related topics and coordinate activities, including appropriate RDA Working Groups, to practically solve PID-related issues from the engaged communities.</p>\n\n<p>These presentations at RDA Plenary 16 (November 2020) were all about joining up the research world with PIDs and joining up the PID world with collaborative initiatives.</p>\n\n<p>Using persistent identifiers to reference all the key elements of research is an aspiration to improve research efficiency and innovation in a globally joined-up information system.
