In this work, we present a prototype Digital Image Correlation (DIC) system for damage detection in an aircraft wing for a potential Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) application. This system enables easy installation and adjustment in test conditions with limited experimental volumetric space available. Strain localization, due to crack growth, was successfully observed in the Region-of-Interest (RoI) during the cyclic loading test of the aircraft wing. The test result and performance of the integrated DIC system was analyzed for further improvement of system development.
