Description

Gillian Foster of the WU Institute for Ecological Economics and colleagues Maddalena Lamura and Jakob Hackel of the WU Research Institute for Cryptoeconomics published a new report on the Vienna Kultur-Token app.  The new report applies sustainable business modelling for the innovative app via the Flourishing Business Canvas. The mobile smart phone app encourages Viennese to reduce car travel for low-carbon mobility options by rewarding them with free access to cultural institutions, exhibitions, performances, and experiences.  This is the first app to tokenize low-carbon mobility linked to citizen engagement and a vibrant cultural life.
