A &lsquo;federation&rsquo; of PID providers and users, spanning other research infrastructures, funders and policy makers, and the wide research community was mooted in January 2020. A project was commissioned to scope this potential &lsquo;PID Federation&rsquo;, undertaken between June and September 2020. This report outlines that project and summarises its key recommendations.</p></description> </descriptions> <fundingReferences> <fundingReference> <funderName>European Commission</funderName> <funderIdentifier funderIdentifierType="Crossref Funder ID">10.13039/100010661</funderIdentifier> <awardNumber awardURI="info:eu-repo/grantAgreement/EC/H2020/777523/">777523</awardNumber> <awardTitle>Connected Open Identifiers for Discovery, Access and Use of Research Resources</awardTitle> </fundingReference> </fundingReferences> </resource>
