<p>In view of the socio-sanitarian severity due to the new pathological manifestation of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, called by the World Health Organization as COVID-19, there is an interest in examining the hygienist interventions adopted by the Central American countries, in the context of combating and preventing such disease. Objectively, the present study traces the epidemiological profile and examines the implications for the social fabric of the countries of the Central American Continental axis.</p>
