We seek to contribute the Zig-Zag magazine's view to the set of problems and changes that characterized the social and political life of Chile in the 1930s. It is not too risky to point out that Zig-Zag was perhaps the most important magazine in the history of our country, not only for the number of years it was in circulation, but also for being considered the first miscellaneous magazine in Latin America. In this way, analyzing its content, where editorials, articles, reports and opinion stand out, we can collaborate from a new perspective on how and in what way the elite of our country recognized in a certain way the political and social crisis that drives research and what things proposed.
