Description
This is a spaCy NER (PER, LOC, ORG) model trained on Annotations created during the Austrian Prosopographical Information System (APIS) project on the Austrian Austrian Biographical Dictionary (ÖBL). The dictionary contains data on ~19.000 persons who had an impact on Austrian soil and died between 1815 and 1955.
The model is trained on German biographical articles that make heavy use of abbreaviations and long person/institution names. The training data is published alongside the model.
