<dc:description>The CESSDA Data Management Expert Guide (DMEG) is designed by European experts to help social science researchers make their research data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR).

This is the offline version of the DMEG developed in 2017 and updated in 2019, available as a training resource on the CESSDA Training website. The guide is written for social science researchers who are in an early stage of practicing research data management. With this guide, CESSDA wants to contribute to professionalism in data management and increase the value of research data.

The DMEG consists of seven chapters, which go through the research data lifecycle from planning, organising, documenting, processing, storing, and protecting your data to sharing and publishing them:

1. Plan

2. Organize & Document

3. Process

4. Store

5. Protect

6. Archive & Publish

7. Discover

In addition to the PDF of the full publication, PDFs of the single chapters can be downloaded separately. This format is aimed to be used as printed handouts for training.</dc:description>
