"abstract": "<p>The lesson materials contain</p>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li>a shortened Latin text version of Cicero Ad Quintum fratrem I,1 prepared for intermediate learners (e.g. with vocabulary aids, introduction etc.)</li>\n\t<li>and ten pages of explicit vocabulary exercises tailored for this text and a specific core vocabulary (the most frequent 500 words of the so-called Bamberger Grundwortschatz: <a href=\"https://www.ccbuchner.de/reihe-9-9/adeo-53/\">Adeo</a>).</li>\n</ol>\n\n<p>The intervention study (pretest, lesson material, posttest) was conducted over a period of 4 to 6 weeks in two high-schools in Berlin, Germany (2018-2019).</p>",
