The presentation discusses the effect of data filtering on the observed wind climate for an offshore site in the North Sea. It is found that filtering with a CNR threshold can significantly influence the measured wind speed distribution. The effect is found for both short and long-range wind lidars. Therefore, care should be taken when filtering the data of wind lidars.</p>",
