We are committed to equality of opportunity for everyone, we value diversity and foster a positive and inclusive environment. We are very proud of our diverse group, institute, and University and we believe that everyone together, irrespective of their gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, belief or physical ability can contribute to the fight against cancer.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in STEM

Often we focus our campaigns on equality of opportunity for women in STEM. However, we support equality of opportunity for everyone. Therefore, during the 2019 Cambridge Science Festival, we started a more general campaign about equality, diversity and inclusion in STEM. Also, in this case, we have produced a Word Search Puzzle leaflet that you are free to reuse and modify.

We have tried to include a list of people of different genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations and disabilities, but suggestions are welcome for future editions.
Our message is that there is not much in common among these inspirational people, no colour, no gender, no physical ability. Hard-working and smart, nothing else defines a scientist. A scientist is someone like you.
