simonscmap/pycmap: pycmap beta

This is the pycmap beta release. pycmap is an open-source python package that provides access to Simons CMAP database; a large open-SQL database hosting ocean data sets such as satellite measurements, model estimates, and field observations. Using this package one would be able to extract subsets of the data sets and/or visualize the retrieved data. Nearly all data manipulation logic is embedded at the database layer which means pycmap simply calls the DB-embedded functions to retrieve data. Simons CMAP ecosystem will soon support more programming languages and pycmap is meant to provide a reference for the upcoming packages.
