    <dct:description>&lt;p&gt;Leesbevordering ligt aan de basis van de oprichting van de openbare bibliotheken in Nederland en is daarmee een van de kernfuncties van de bibliotheek. E&amp;eacute;n vorm van leesbevordering is het voeren van campagnes om lezen, het boek en praten over boeken te promoten. Bibliotheken organiseren in dit kader verschillende activiteiten voor uiteenlopende doelgroepen. Vaak wordt hierbij samengewerkt met andere partijen, zoals het onderwijs, Stichting Collectieve Propaganda van het Nederlandse Boek (CPNB), boekhandelaren, uitgevers en de Leescoalitie, een samenwerkingsverband bestaand uit Stichting Lezen, de Vereniging Openbare Bibliotheken (VOB), de Koninklijke Bibliotheek (KB), Stichting Lezen &amp;amp; Schrijven, Stichting CPNB en het Literatuurmuseum/Kinderboekenmuseum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</dct:description>
