It is pointed out that with modern economic development, timely consideration of the influence of various biological factors on preventing the occurrence of a loss of working capacity is of great importance for human activities. The author identifies biotic factors that are effects on a living organism emerging from living nature, and abiotic factors that are the result of exposure to components of an inanimate nature on a living organism. It is determined that in production a negative effect can arise both from the side of natural biotic factors and from unnatural, artificial abiotic factors. The classification of biological factors of the working environment according to the criteria of the mechanism and of the specific effect on workers allowed the author to distinguish the following two groups: natural, which includes infectious agents and invasive people, animals and birds, natural animal waste, plant development products, in particular, flowering products and the like; and industrial or industrial, which includes factors of industrial and livestock complexes and production of biological plant protection products, antibiotics, protein vitamin concentrates, growth stimulants, serums, biologically active products for the production and processing of agricultural products. In the end, the author concludes that the type of forensic medical examination appointed on these issues depends on the type of biological factor affecting a person.</p></subfield>
