Optimizing Interoperability of Language Resources with the Upcoming IIIF AV Specifications

We discuss how the upcoming IIIF AV specifications could contribute to interoperability of annotated language resources in the CLARIN infrastructure. After some short notes about IIIF, we provide a comparison between the concepts of the IIIF specifications and the ELAN annotation format. The final section introduces our experimental Media API that intends to optimize interoperability.
