Occurrence of Symphyotrichum squamatum (Spreng.) G.L.Nesom in Uttar Pradesh, India: A new record

The genus Symphyotrichum belonging to the family Compositae, contains about 108 accepted species (The Plant List 2013); most of the species are distributed in the North, Central and South Americas (Tunçkol et al. 2017). Symphyotrichum squamatum is native to South America (Nesom 2005) and commonly known as ‘annual saltmarsh aster’.
