&lt;p&gt;An assembly line is one of the most intrinsic parts of manufacturing industry where the workstations are arranged systematically to obtain their final product. Balancing of an assembly line aims at reducing losses and increasing productivity. There are certain loopholes in the assembly lines of various industries which hampers its balance. This paper reviews some of the studies carried out in the field of assembly line balancing and puts forward recent trends and techniques available to optimize the assembly line of the company.&lt;/p&gt;</subfield>
