kwb.hantush (v0.3.0): An R Package for Calculating Groundwater Mounding Beneath an Infiltration Basin Based on the Hantush Equation

The USGS report ‘Simulation of Groundwater Mounding Beneath Hypothetical Stormwater Infiltration Basins’ by Carleton (2010) provides more background information on the Hantush calculation and also compares it to alternative approaches. In order to validate the calculation accuracy of the R package kwb.hantush it is benchmarked against these solutions here.

This is the second release of kwb.hantush on CRAN with the following changes:

  • Fixed DOI in DESCRIPTION, as requested by Kurt Hornik via email (#2)

  • Add two vignettes for package usage and shiny apps (#5)

  • Added tests (#4)

  • Changed parameterisation and cleaned function hantush_distances() (#3)
