"abstract": "<p>CL-Windcon is the first EU Wind Energy research project 100% control oriented. This project is focused on wind farm flow control, in both open and closed loop, as a need from the control perspective. Wind farm control problem, as any other control problem, is a multidisciplinary exercise, which is clearly shown in the CL-Windcon project. Then, the control common activities are present in the project: multi-fidelity models development and analysis, theoretical scenarios to focus while developing and comparing results with and without control. Of course, the core work for this project is focused on the control algorithm development. Mainly open and closed loop algorithms for wind farm flow control, but also the control algorithms at wind turbine level, needed to support the wind farm flow control as well as other ancillary services that can be provided to the network. This project also combines an important set of validation activities, which will be mostly open access, in multi-fidelity simulations, wind tunnel tests, and a field test campaign. Other feasibility activities are also performed in the project, which among other things covers maintenance impact, LCA, standards review.</p>",
