Overview of Woodland Trust funded agroforestry schemes.\nSince 2013 the Woodland Trust has been offering farmers across the UK advice and subsidized trees & protection to help them set up small scale agroforestry schemes. Hear descriptions of the types of schemes that have been planted as well as the challenges and the rewards to date. With the development of a new land management policy post Brexit these demonstration schemes are proving to be very useful in bringing agroforestry to forefront of policy makers' minds. Hear our initial thought on how future schemes should support agroforestry and the role trees can play in supporting sustainable agriculture whilst delivering an array of public benefits.", "languages": [ { "id": "eng", "title": { "en": "English" } } ], "publication_date": "2018-07-10", "publisher": "Zenodo", "resource_type": { "id": "presentation", "title": { "de": "Pr\u00e4sentation", "en": "Presentation" } }, "rights": [ { "description": { "en": "" }, "icon": "cc-by-nc-nd-icon", "id": "cc-by-nc-nd-4.0", "props": { "scheme": "spdx", "url": "https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/legalcode" }, "title": { "en": "Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0 International" } } ], "subjects": [ { "subject": "Demonstration sites; tree planting; policy" } ], "title": "Overview of Woodland Trust funded agroforestry schemes." }, "parent": { "access": { "owned_by": { "user": 35722 } }, "communities": { "default": "b5d95b65-6e72-4684-9ec0-d94a43aaa973", "entries": [ { "access": { "member_policy": "open", "members_visibility": "public", "record_policy": "open", "review_policy": "open", "visibility": "public" }, "children": { "allow": false }, "created": "2017-09-06T14:33:15.163945+00:00", "custom_fields": {}, "deletion_status": { "is_deleted": false, "status": "P" }, "id": "b5d95b65-6e72-4684-9ec0-d94a43aaa973", "links": {}, "metadata": { "curation_policy": "

AFINET Knowledge Cloud has a specific objective:
\r\n\r\nAFINET has five specific objectives
\r\n\r\n1. To establish the system and methodological basis for knowledge exchange, based on the Regional Agroforestry Innovation Networks (RAINs) implementation:
\r\n\r\n2. To build the Agroforestry Knowledge Cloud (KC) that will foster knowledge exchange by integrating and synthesizing existing pools of information. It will include knowledge coming from the RAINs, (innovative practices and experiences as well as regional, national and international project results, grey and scientific literature. All the available resources will be gathered into this state-of-the-art Knowledge Cloud repository that will work as a source of knowledge and experience on innovative agroforestry practices at EU level.
\r\n\r\n3. To improve the applied knowledge about AF practices of the different target groups, through specific dissemination activities and training, in order to promote sustainable land management throughout Europe. AFINET will create several materials to share the information collected: innovation factsheets, videos, innovations tutorials, newsletters, training modules and technical articles. Partners will also organize events at regional at international level.
\r\n\r\n4. To maximize synergies between European, national and regional policies related to the agroforestry sector to support the effective implementation of the innovations proposed.
\r\n\r\n5. To communicate the AFINET outputs across Europe and internationally, through close interactions with farmer networks and extension services.
