<p>The English language is considered to be a universal language. It is commonly used as the language of instruction in majority of the schools worldwide. However, English Language Learners, both in the United States and the other parts of the world, are having difficulties in learning due to language barrier. Hence, teaching strategies to improve English proficiency of students should be promoted. Through modification of learning environment, assessment of performance, and appropriate teaching methods, learning will be made possible.</p>
