Geisteswissenschaftliches Bloggen bei de.hypotheses Erste Ergebnisse der Umfrage zu Motivationen, Praktiken und Routinen

König, Mareike

This data set contains the results of the online survey among 204 germanspeaking bloggers in the Humanities. The survey ran from 13 November to 21 December 2018 and was anonymous. The survey investigated the reasons why scholars in the humanities blog, when and why they consider a blog or blog contribution as successful, how they formally and editorially design their contributions and publication process, and how blogs fit into the scientific discussion and information space. The results confirm that science blogs continue to encompass an extremely wide variety of practices. One trend is the professional and strategically conscious use of blogs, which have found their place as an additional means of communication even among technically less affine researchers.
