    <dct:description>&lt;p&gt;This report presents an overview of the most recent design methodologies for multiple product life cycles in literature today and provides an analysis of the current design practices for the two demonstrators, white goods and automotive spare parts. The design methodologies found in literature are presented in three categories: Design for long Use, Design for extended Use and Design for recovery. A selection of more detailed examples of design methodologies is provided at the end of this overview. The analysis of the current practices for the two demonstrating companies is done through on-site observations and interviews. The results of this data collection are presented in the form of a description of the current business activities in relation to product design, as well as a description of the opportunities to improve the product or service design related aspects in terms of fit with design for multiple product life cycles. The final part of the report determines the actions for further research and the remaining requirements for the implementation of long-term design strategies supporting multiple life cycles and the development of multiple-scenario case-specific circular design methodologies&lt;/p&gt;</dct:description>
