It is characterized by a cephalic sensory-canal pore pattern lacking only the IT pore (Pattern 2); a dorsal/anal-fin-ray formula of 8/7; 15 branched pectoral-fin rays; a fifth pelvic-fin ray; and long, white anterior narial tubes. The live color pattern is distinctive, not similar to any of the 116 other species of the genus, comprising bright red-and-white markings on the head and orange and yellow bars crossing the translucent body.</dc:description> <dc:identifier>https://zenodo.org/record/3066358</dc:identifier> <dc:identifier>10.5281/zenodo.3066358</dc:identifier> <dc:identifier>oai:zenodo.org:3066358</dc:identifier> <dc:relation>doi:10.5281/zenodo.3066357</dc:relation> <dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights> <dc:rights>https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode</dc:rights> <dc:source>Journal of the Ocean Science Foundation 33 9-15</dc:source> <dc:subject>taxonomy</dc:subject> <dc:subject>ichthyology</dc:subject> <dc:subject>gobies</dc:subject> <dc:subject>Indian Ocean</dc:subject> <dc:title>Eviota dalyi, a new dwarfgoby from the Amirante Islands, Seychelles (Teleostei: Gobiidae)</dc:title> <dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type> <dc:type>publication-article</dc:type> </oai_dc:dc>
