Altmetrics, indicadores alternativos para las revistas de Comunicación de Web of Science

    <subfield code="a">&lt;p&gt;El objetivo de este estudio es analizar la aparici&amp;oacute;n de revistas de comunicaci&amp;oacute;n en las&amp;nbsp;llamadas Altmetrics (Facebook, Mendeley, Twitter, etc.) y c&amp;oacute;mo se relacionan estos&amp;nbsp;indicadores entre s&amp;iacute; y con las citas recibidas. Para ello, estudiamos la presencia en&amp;nbsp;plataformas de los art&amp;iacute;culos publicados por las revistas de Comunicaci&amp;oacute;n de Journal&amp;nbsp;Citation Reports of the Web of Science para el quinquenio 2013-2017 en la plataforma&amp;nbsp;Altmetric.com. Los resultados muestran c&amp;oacute;mo s&amp;oacute;lo unas pocas plataformas tienen una&lt;br&gt;
cobertura significativa para el estudio del conjunto y en el caso de Mendeley y Twitter,&amp;nbsp;la cobertura es superior a las citas ofrecidas por Web of Science. Existe una relaci&amp;oacute;n&amp;nbsp;comprobada entre las citas y su aparici&amp;oacute;n en los medios y plataformas sociales, y su&amp;nbsp;intensidad var&amp;iacute;a seg&amp;uacute;n el producto. En general, destacan las revistas con mayor n&amp;uacute;mero&amp;nbsp;de citas (Journal of Computer Mediated, Journal of Communication o New Media &amp;amp;&amp;nbsp;Society) con pocas excepciones (Continuum).&lt;/p&gt;</subfield>
