SAHM - Simplification Algorithm for 1D Hydraulic Network Models

This package contains tools for automatically simplifying 1D hydraulic pipe network models. The purpose is to speed up hydraulic simulations while retaining an acceptable level of result precision.

The algorithm is described in the scientific article "Simplification of one-dimensional hydraulic networks by automated processes evaluated on 1D/2D deterministic flood models" published in Journal of Hydroinformatics.

The implementation presented here uses Python and Arcpy and is designed to modified DHI MIKE Urban pipe network models.

The version uploaded here was applied to generate the results in the referenced article. Further developments are available on:
