Description of experimental data




Data for both experiments are partially analyzed, as described in the paper to ensure usability. 
Raw data of forces have been smoothed and initial peak forces have been selected. 
Also correct and false answers have been evaluated.


Experiment 1:

The folder "Experiment 1" contains files (.txt) named "Main_VP (Number of participant)" for all twenty-four subjects. 
All data files are 192x7 matrices containing values for all 192 trials in following columns:

(1) Condition [1 = block ; 2 = random ; 3 = visual ; 4 = semantic]

(2) Trial number in block 

(3) Reference stimulus [197 = soft standard; 129 = hard standard]

(4) Comparison stimuli [190, 200 = soft comparison; 125, 140 = hard comparison]

(5) Weight of stimulus pair

(6) Answer [1 = correct, 0 = false]

(7) Initial peak force [Newton]


Experiment 2:

The folder "Experiment 2" contains files (.txt) named "Main_VP (number of participant)_ (number of experimental group)" for all twenty-four subjects. 
The numbers for experimental groups are (1) for the Implicit-Only Group and (2) for the Interference Group. 
All data files are 192x7 matrices containing values for all 192 trials in following columns:

(1) Condition [1 = block ; 2 = random ; 3 = visual ; 4 = semantic]

(2) Trial number in block 

(3) Reference stimulus [197 = soft standard; 18 = hard standard]

(4) Comparison stimuli [190, 200 = soft comparison; 12, 24 = hard comparison]

(5) Weight of stimulus pair

(6) Answer [1 = correct, 0 = false]

(7) Initial peak force [Newton]
