Work-life balance – the impact of national policies. A comparative study between Germany and Greece with a special focus on early career researchers

Description

A number of studies have been conducted regarding the link between good work-life balance and the representation of women in senior professional positions. However, many of these studies are not entirely applicable to the case of researchers, or they miss out on a number of aspects that are rather specific to researchers.

In this paper we discuss some of the issues that have a bearing on the topic of work-life balance for researchers from the perspective of two different counties, Germany and Greece, that are quite different in many aspects but at the same time reveal a number of interesting similarities.
