Description

Abstract:

Television has been an assiduous presence in our homes and progressively in spaces without interaction, like businesses and public services through Corporate TVs, being yet present anywhere on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. These new ways of interaction should therefore be a concern for platform developers and content creators/providers. In this sense, TV.COMmunity emerges as a platform for interactive television designed to operate in multi-channel (e.g., Web, Television, Corporate TV) and multi-device (e.g., computer, SmartTV, tablet, smartphone) and in different contexts (e.g., education, business, public service). So, to understand if the interface meets the user in a clear, easy and intuitive way, a Web  prototype platform was subjected to usability testing by two distinct groups of evaluators, four teachers and four students of a Portuguese institution of higher education.
