<p>This presentation covers an introduction to the Controlled Vocabularies, explain all about the COAR Controlled Vocabularies Interest Group, its activities and future plans as well as release of v1.1. Resource Types vocabularies. </p>
<p>COAR, the Confederation of Open access repositories is an international association with over 100 members and partners all around the world, representing libraries, research institutions, funders and others. COAR aims to bring repository community and networks together for capacity building, policy and practise alignment as a global voice. Controlled vocabularies are an important aspect of interoperability which is the one of the key issues that COAR values a lot. Controlled vocabularies enable discovery, share and reuse of the content by providing standardized terminology in repositories. </p>
