  <dc:description>Bachelor's Thesis Prøst is a contestant in the Caesar competition for Authenticated Encryption. This thesis shows how Prøst was optimised for the arm 11 microprocessor architecture. By implementing Prøst in assembly, a performance gain of 28% to 48% was achieved. We also present a new implementation of MixSlices, one of the sub-operations in Prøst's permute function. This new implementation has 33% fewer arithmetic operations than the original version.</dc:description>
