    <description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;p&gt;Bachelor&amp;#39;s Thesis Pr&amp;oslash;st is a contestant in the Caesar competition for Authenticated Encryption. This thesis shows how Pr&amp;oslash;st was optimised for the arm 11 microprocessor architecture. By implementing Pr&amp;oslash;st in assembly, a performance gain of 28% to 48% was achieved. We also present a new implementation of MixSlices, one of the sub-operations in Pr&amp;oslash;st&amp;#39;s permute function. This new implementation has 33% fewer arithmetic operations than the original version.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
