Many higher education institutions manage scientific publications or journals. At present and in the future, scientific journals need online management by publishers. One of the well-known journal management systems is the Open Journal System (OJS). OJS has experienced a system revolution, namely verses 1, 2 and 3. Although OJS version 3 has been developed, currently OJS version 2 is still widely used by journal managers. For this reason, this working paper aims to provide an understanding of the management of online journals using the open journal system (OJS) version 2 specifically regarding: (1) journal information details; (2) journal policy; (3) manuscript submission; (4) managing journal; and (5) customizing the journal look.
