    "description": "<p>Las figuras bitriangulares o clepsidras representadas en el registro alfarero de la Tradici&oacute;n B&iacute;croma Rojo sobre Blanco, definida desde el siglo XI d. C. para el centro-sur de Chile y su contraparte oriental cordillerana en la Rep&uacute;blica Argentina, constituyen una nueva forma de relaci&oacute;n del hombre y su ambiente a partir de un cambio en la escala de producci&oacute;n de alimentos. En esta nueva interacci&oacute;n cobran importancia otros representantes del reino animal, como la ara&ntilde;a <em>Latrodectus</em> spp. o viuda negra, cuya picadura de la especie end&eacute;mica de la zona genera priapismo prolongado que puede ser interpretado en este nuevo contexto productor de alimentos como met&aacute;fora de fertilidad. ENGLISH: Clepsydras, Spiders and Symbolic Representation of Fertility in Araucania and North Patagonia (South America). The double triangular figures or clepsydras represented in Red on White Bicolor tradition pottery, found in the south center of Chile and its eastern mountain counterpart in the Argentine Republic from the eleventh century BC, constitute a new form of relationship between man and his environment resulting from a change in the scale of food production. In this new context, animals such as <em>Latrodectus</em> spp. (black widows), the local endemic species of which has venom causing prolonged priapism, can be interpreted as a fertility metaphor.</p>",
