<p>The purpose of Work Package 2 is to address and overcome central algorithmic core problems in the realm of energy meteorology. The goals of the task are to:</p>
<ol>
<li>Further develop methodologies for optimal operation under uncertainty and for the first time apply these to renewable energy.</li>
<li>Demonstrate the effect of uncertainty on optimal operation, thus setting the goals for accurately characterizing the uncertainty.</li>
<li>Compare state-of-the-art weather prediction at the local scale with the ones developed, demonstrating the additional value.</li>
