    <description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;p&gt;The purpose of Work Package 2 is to address and overcome central algorithmic core problems in the realm of energy meteorology. The goals of the task are to:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ol&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Further develop methodologies for optimal operation under uncertainty and for the first time apply these to renewable energy.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Demonstrate the effect of uncertainty on optimal operation, thus setting the goals for accurately characterizing the uncertainty.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Compare state-of-the-art weather prediction at the local scale with the ones developed, demonstrating the additional value.&lt;/li&gt;
