Forse li possiamo scoprire indagando la vita e i risultati di uno dei maggiori scienziati sperimentali della storia, il fisico inglese Michael Faraday (Newington Butts 1791 &amp;ndash; Hampton Court 1867). Dopo le prime ricerche di chimica, Faraday si rivolse alle indagini sulle propriet&amp;agrave; elettriche e magnetiche della materia: la nuova fenomenologia poneva problemi di difficile interpretazione e le sue spiegazioni non apparvero subito chiare ai contemporanei. Furono per&amp;ograve; proprio i suoi risultati sperimentali ad aprire la strada alla trasformazione rivoluzionaria della fisica incentrata sulla nozione di campo elettromagnetico.&lt;/p&gt;</subfield>
